SACBE brings what sits at the heart of every Re.Union: our community, and an experience that moves between depth and lightness, ritual and celebration.
It unfolds through ritual, yoga, temazcal, music, shared meals, and San Miguel’s Día de Muertos, and ends at the table, the fire, and the dance floor.
DÍA DE MUERTOS IN SAN MIGUEL
Few places embody the magic of Día de Muertos quite like San Miguel. During these days, the town transforms: streets fill with marigolds and candlelight, altars appear throughout the city, families gather to honor their ancestors, and Catrinas, music and processions bring one of Mexico’s most beautiful traditions to life.
That public week is the setting. The altars, the processions, and the night streets are part of these days, not a stop we make once.
THE LIVING ALTAR
What if the altar is not only something we build?
What if the altar is something we become?
In Mexican tradition, an altar is a bridge between worlds. Memory becomes presence, and those who have left us are invited back through photographs, flowers, food, fire, and love.
We open that bridge together. Each guest brings a photograph or an object for someone they want in the room.
From there the altar stays with the group — at the meals, in the conversations, and in the quiet between them.
MIND, BODY & SPIRIT
Practice anchors the mornings. Anna Vanzani leads yoga. There is time for meditation, and a temazcal with Karla Ozuna when the group is ready to sit in the heat.

CULTURE & ADVENTURE
On November 2 the group leaves the house for the Day of the Death Parade through the centro. The rest of the gathering stays close to Casa X: open land, and horses that live on the property.

INSPIRATION & LEARNING
Three conversations with Cat run through the middle of the days. Saturday is The Ancestor Forest, lineage mapping and regenerative repair. Sunday is Ancestral Stories, automatic writing and intergenerational dialogue. Monday is Becoming the Ancestors, designing across generations and dreaming toward the future. On Saturday afternoon, Isidro Ovejas leads Inspiration & Learning.

MUSIC & CELEBRATION
The nights have their own shape. Live music and performance run through the weekend, and the sacred fire is lit on the evenings we stay in. November 2 turns that into a celebration of life: DJ sets from 22:00 until 1:00.
There is room to have sat with grief earlier and still step onto the floor.

A new house in open landscape, just outside town. Fifteen rooms, a yoga shala, a temazcal, a pool, and a jacuzzi, with chefs in the kitchen and corners meant for gathering or for being quiet.

THE SACBE RE.UNION
A Re.Union is the circle, not the venue. A small group, one house, and enough unscheduled time that people actually meet.
By the last breakfast, the names in the room are no longer new. That is the point of staying the whole way through.
